How do I switch between two ShapesXR accounts on one headset?

To switch between two ShapesXR accounts on a single headset, follow these steps:

1. In the ShapesXR lobby, locate your username in the top right corner.
2. Click on your username to access the account menu.
3. Within the account menu, you will find a "Log Out" button. Click on it and choose "Unpair and exit" to log out of the current account.
4. After logging out, restart the ShapesXR app.
5. Upon relaunching the app, you will be prompted to enter a pairing code.
6. To use the app with the other ShapesXR account, simply go to the dashboard, log in with the desired account credentials, and pair your device again.

By following these steps, you can easily switch between multiple ShapesXR accounts on a single headset.

How to unpair a device?

Please go to the ShapesXR Lobby in VR > click on your name above the avatar > click on the Log out button > click on the Unpair and exit button.

How can I change the email associated with my Shapes account?

1. Open User Profile Settings

Go to shapes.app and log in to your account. Once you're logged in, click on your profile picture at the top right corner of the screen and then click on your name in the dropdown menu.

2. Click on the "Change email" button and enter your current password to verify your account or reauthenticate if you're using a Google account.

3. Choose an authentication method for the new email (Google or email).

4. Enter your new email address and click on the "Change email" button.

5. Follow Email Service Instructions.

Once you've saved your changes, go to your email service and follow the instructions to confirm your new email address.

How can I restore my account if I logged in to the dashboard but can't see my spaces and projects?

If you've logged into the ShapesXR dashboard but can't access your spaces and projects, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1.Verify Your Account: Double-check that you are logged into the correct ShapesXR account with the associated email.
2.Re-Log In: Log out of your account and log in again, ensuring that you use the correct email associated with your ShapesXR account.
3.Try Meta Account Login: If re-logging with your email doesn't resolve the issue, log out of the dashboard and attempt to log in using your Meta account as the login method.
4.Contact Support: If the problem persists, reach out to our support team for assistance. Be sure to include your account ID in your email. To locate your account ID, go to Personal settings in the dashboard, and copy the user ID as indicated in the screenshot.

By following these steps and, if necessary, seeking support from our team with your account ID, we will help you recover access to your spaces and projects.

Why I’m a commenter in spaces where I must be an editor?

It’s due to 3 editable spaces logic. You have up to 3 spaces with the ability to edit, whether they are owned by you or shared with you. Once you reach the limit, you have a few options:
- delete one of your spaces
- leave a space that was shared with you

I have an educational license, but my dashboard shows me on a Creator plan. Why is that, and what should I do?

To ensure you see the Education plan, you can create a project and add yourself or someone else as an editor. Once you do this, you will see the correct plan – Education. This is a simple step to activate your full access.

What sets apart the Creator from the Team plan?

While the Creator plan of ShapesXR offers a broad array of design tools, the Team plan takes your experience to the next level. With Team, you can collaborate effectively as a team, unlock features like Presentation and Same Page mode, and enjoy unrestricted prototyping within unlimited editable spaces.

How can I try a Team plan?

What models can I import, what formats are supported?

ShapesXR supports png, jpg, obj, glb, glTF. Also you can import Figma files.
glTF should be uploaded to the dashboard as a zip. file.

What export formats do you support? How can I export my space or create models?

To export models or whole space, please open the export tab in the secondary menu. We support glTF, USDz for export. More - here.

How can I use created spaces in Unity?

It's easy to import any space in Unity using our Unity plugin. More info and instructions - here.

How can I import my projects/assets from Figma?

Are there plans to support multiple textures per material any time soon?

Unfortunately, this is not in our immediate plans, but it's on our long-term roadmap. If we see that such a request becomes highly relevant, we will definitely consider options to add this functionality earlier.

My model looks incorrect in ShapesXR after importing. What's wrong?

Why is my Figma file not updating in ShapesXR?

One possible reason could be that the token has expired or been deleted, in which case you need to generate a new token and add it to the dashboard.
